Civil Site Design - Civil 3D Outputs (USA Imperial)

Learn how to export Civil Site Design models to Civil 3D

Welcome to the Civil Site Design - Civil 3D Output Course.

This video based course is designed to teach you how to exchange data between Civil Site Design and Civil 3D - create surfaces, alignments, profiles, profile views, assemblies and corridors all from your Civil Site Design models.

The course has drawing and data sets to help you journey all the way through the course.

Whilst this course is using imperial units, the principles outlined in the video lessons are directly applicable to metric Civil Site Design & Civil 3D customers. A metric version is currently being recorded and will be available as a separate course shortly.

Users of the supplied data should be aware of the following version conditions:

  • Data is created for Civil 3D version 2020 (Imperial) or later
  • Civil Site Design installed for USA (imperial) version 20.30 or later
  • Subassembly Composer 2018 or later

Note: Any metric drawing containing Civil 3D alignments and surfaces and with a Civil Site Design model created (eg: TotalModel) could be used to follow through the processes covered in this course.
